The late April Royal Wedding has become a happy occasion to anticipate for New Yorkers. We have had a winter of discontent: almost 70 inches of snow in Westchester County alone; daily rising gas (petrol) prices leading to rising food prices and many other domino effects; unemployment looming for teachers and other public employees; small suburban businesses closing; and assessments for some apartment owners to cover the rising heating costs. Thus, we are really looking forward to spring, flowering trees, Easter celebrations, the Beatification, and reasons to hope. The distraction of the Royal Wedding will truly be embraced this year.
