Partly because of something I was writing, I was thinking about the great St John Paul... the anniversary of his election fell this week. J and I, chatting in the kitchen, raised a glass together in his memory. He is sort of our family patron saint...

I feel the same.
Just remembering him brings such a sense of strength and hope.
I believe he truly followed the words of Jesus.
"Take courage. I have overcome the world."
Am now raising a glass of sangria to his memory, and to the memory of you two honouring him also.
