Well done. I'm a bit late reading the Summer Standpoint and the same thought occurred to me. The Statute wouldn't do anything for cake bakers not wanting to participate in homosexual weddings on religious grounds either.Don't let this put you off reading Geoffrey Robertson's The Tyrranicide Brief though. It is a wonderful biography of John Cooke, prosecuting lawyer at Charles I's trial (albeit Robertson's understanding of Puritan theology is pretty ropey).
