Cherishing life...
...or do we think we can't and shouldn't? Was St John Paul right when he warned of a "culture of death"? Some good reading on this here...
Suicide is the ultimate logic of abortion. The pro-choice is that a woman's body is hers, there's no higher value than autonomy. So that leads naturally to the view that if life becomes insupportable, there's no reason not to end it.

Yes, and abortion is the logical development of contraception. "We didn`t intend this child therefore....".
The clear and insistent teaching of Humanae Vitae would have preserved life.
