The Tower of London...

...is the venue for the next CATHOLIC HISTORY WALK, the first after the summer break. Come and join us!  No need to book, just turn up.  THURSDAY September 13th, 6.30pm, meet at the EXIT (note EXIT - there are various entrances,m but we meet at the EXIT) of Tower Hill tube station.

We'll be walking along by the Tower and learning its story, and then walk into the City and see some of the churches there.

Are these walks suitable for children Joanna?

Yes. But of course any children coming along are the responsibility of their parents/guardians. It would be quite wrong to send unaccompanied children along on an evening walk in London.

A typical walk lasts about one and a half hours. Naturally, people can leave at any time, and all the walks are in central London so we are never more than a few minutes from a Tube station.

I am delighted if children come along, and will try to give the historical explanations at a level they can understand. And I am always happy for people to ask questions. The mood is friendly and informal and the walks, which started a couple of years ago, have flourished chiefly because people enjoy them and keep asking for more!

best wishes
