Rally for the Family...

...Did you know that something over a million people gathered in Madrid the other day at a rally in defence of marriage and family life? No, I thought perhaps you didn't. Read about it here.

I bet that if there had been a million-strong rally in defence of, say, animal rights, in a major European city there would have been a number of reports about it in the British media.

Of course, it could be claimed that a million Catholics defending the Christian teaching on marriage and family ought not to be news. It ought to be routine. But, these days, it isn't. It's important, significant, and encouraging. Tell people about it.

please all who pray and read blog. I have request for family who is in a very unusual situation with a child. The child needs to be in a stable place that can help her level of severe issues. Home is now chaos and growing worse. The family who took her feel they have failed terribly but cannot care for her anymore as she is so hurtful with other children in the home. This is an adoption gone very wrong. Help your selves before it is too late..

I did hear about the rally but I think it was on the world service.

Anonymous, as an adoptive mother of two precious ones I will be praying. My older child (4yo son) has some attachment related issues - he is attached but too many moves have had an effect on him. I can't imagine how hard an adoption breakdown must be.

Speaking from expeience... a failed adoption is a nightmare for all involved.
I too have felt the terrible pain and failure of such a situation.
I will say it does get some what better over time. Most people have been forgiving of the decision I had to make for the good of other children involved. I am still fighting a legal battle but it is such a releif to have her not here, but in a better home for her sake and ours. " Anonymous writer"
