Depressing...

...election result. I had vaguely sensed this might happen (see note below, posted on Wednesday).

The majority of young people (aged 18-30)voted  for the Corbyn/McDonnell/ Abbott hard-left project.

On Wednesday - and this is why I put that sad note on the blog - a spokesman for one of the campaigning groups on the Left  bragged that they wouldn't accept the election result if it wasn't one they wanted: they would take to the streets.

Mr Corbyn has said he has "changed the face of British politics".  I fear he is indeed doing so.

Presumably you're thrilled to bits that Mother May has crawled to the DUP? Oh. http://www.irishnews.com/news/2015/10/09/news/dup-has-also-been-criticised-for-loyalist-links-288278/

Hi Joanna. It is a sad day for the United Kingdom when the Prime Minister has to rely on the support of a political party, the DUP, Democratic Unionist Party, which was formed by the Reverend Ian Paisley, a man who despised the Roman Catholic Church, hurled insults to Pope John Paul II at the European Parliament in 1988, thinks the Catholic Church is the "anti-Christ", and to this very day, most of its members are members of the Orange Order, the most anti-Catholic organisation we see in Ireland. So much for stability.

Too many people are detached from reality. Putting that the house must be sold to pay nursing home fees in the manifesto was the crunch. But if you don't do this, taxes have to be higher, which means more young people sitting at home playing video games in their childhood bedroom, because they can't afford to marry and start a family.

John King ....The DUP has an anti-Catholic history, no doubt. But these Protestants defend the Moral Law far better than most self-proclaimed Catholics. The DUP opposes bringing abortion and homosexual 'marriage' to Northern Ireland. Were you happier when the Conservatives relied on the Liberal Democrats for support?

Mrs Bogle, why are you depressed? Is Theresa May a great Christian leader? Is she even a conservative? She has reassured the lesbian Scottish Tory leader that the gay rights agenda goes on, despite the DUP deal.

He may be a Marxist but at least Jeremy Corbyn is open and honest about what he believes, rather than cloaking himself with false patriotism and pseudo respectability. Conservatives have conserved nothing.

Labour' problem is not Corbyn but the hard left Stalinists he gathers round him: McDonnell, Seamus Milne, Mccluskey.
