My husband and I visited London in October of last year, seemingly at a time whereby we just missed every special event! I wish we had known about your history walks, as it was we happened upon St. Etheldreda's for weekday Mass and gleaned a few bits of history, from which we were able to find sites (or former sites) of Catholic martyrdoms from a map they had posted. Very difficult to find references to Catholic history in plain view in London, I assume because of the long history of negativity toward Catholics. We visited many churches we happened across as we walked, and did find St. Sepulchre. I'd love to find more of the Catholic history of that church and its connection to Newgate Prison. Being a musician it is already of interest to me in that it seems to have been home church to a number of famous names in the music world. Hoping for a future visit and maybe we can be in one of your tour groups! I do enjoy catching your programs on EWTN, really informative.
