Working for much of this year, and last...

...on a book about Brigettine nuns who helped to shelter Jewish people in Rome in WWII, I naturally got interested in the whole tragic story...was touched to read today's news item about the H. Father and his meeting today with Jewish people in Rome...

It`s well worth buying a copy of the film ` The Scarlet and the Black` and sharing it with friends and family. Gripping and moving, it tells the true story of Msgr. O`Flaherty ( Gregory Peck) of the Vatican,who sheltered Jews and, finally, became the friend of his Nazi opponent. Great family viewing for a rainy Sunday afternoon : )
