...for Catholics in Britain. Read here...

well said Joanna, the same story is being played out now all over the west. It is a huge test to the faithful, Are we faithful enough to lose our job, to be ridiculed and marginalized? We shouldn't be surprised, Jesus warned us it wouldn't be easy to follow him . it is almost surreal how the idea of normal morphs. So quickly the tide changes. But when i look at history and the dreadful abuses that Catholics endured, I somehow think we can manage this with Gods help.

It was a well written piece. The same is happening over here in the States. Western culture has crossed a Rubicon to complete degeneration. What was once right is now wrong; what was once wrong is now right. I love my country too, but I'm not sure it's my country any longer.

Hi, Auntie Joanna,

I just finished reading a book on the Glorious Revolution, and it really highlighted how fierce the anti-Catholic bias in Britain was at the time. Amazingly, people could really be worked up to a fever-pitch, merely because King James II wanted to extend religious toleration to Catholics.

It was as if the Protestant population feared their whole world would come tumbling around their heads or something! It would mean they would have to come face-to-face with what Catholics really taught and evaluate their own beliefs.

Perhaps that's how things are becoming now....The Secular world is afraid of the Catholic Church because it points to the truth that the world is trying to dismiss.

Fighting to change political tides is so frustrating sometimes, as in the USA with the reelection of Pres. Obama. But we have very little choice but to put our noses back to the grindstone and keep grinding. With God's help, all things are possible.

Keep up the good work!

God Bless,
