The number of young men...
..applying to become priests is steadily rising...and we need more...read this Vocations Blog for more info...and pray that the numbers entering our seminaries continues to rise and rise over the next five years.
Yes, it's a straw in the wind. Whilst I expect raw numbers to continue to decline for a few years yet, this is the old generation of Irish Catholics dying off. In fact the numbers coming in will be exceeding the numbers lapsing. Also, the degree of commitment seems to be getting higher.
