THIS IS A Catholic blog. I am a Catholic journalist and author. If you enjoy this Blog, you'll probably enjoy my books - so contact me (via a Comment to this blog) and ask me about them.
I think it's a good idea to transfer them back. I will say it's difficult to sometimes make church during the week for people who work Mon-Fri jobs. And I also get the forgetful factor as it sneaks by you during the middle of the week. But making it easy on people is not always the best thing to do. One should struggle to be a good Catholic.
I know this is really good news, and I know I should be grateful (and I am, really), but I don't understand why their Lordships are not also considering the reinstatement of Corpus Christi on its proper day. It isn't as if Thursday was originally chosen for the celebration of this feast because it happened to be Early Closing Day in Rome, or whatever: Thursday was specifically chosen as the day for a feast in honour of the Body of Christ because it is the day on which the Eucharist was instituted.
