Various comments...

...to this Blog have asked how Britain comes to be in its current rather sad state (incidentally our local paper here has front-page news of another stabbing, one that doesn't seem to have made the national press...). No easy answers to that, of course...a list of things that must have contributed would include (in no special order of importance) the destruction of some good schools, imposition of bureaucracy and paperwork on the police, adoption of daft educational policies denying boys a fair chance...but the deliberate denigration of marriage and family must be a central part of the problem too.
