I found this recent article from the American Magazine a much better, more informed study of Secretary Clinton's religious life and history: "The Private Faith Life of Hillary Clinton," http://www.americamagazine.org/issue/private-faith-life-hillary-clinton

This article is very accurate with regard to the state of politics in the United States, and true for most countries. The issue however is Mr. Trump has committed to appoint Supreme Count Justices like our late Justice Anthony Scalia. It will be very difficult to appoint someone as great as Justice Scalia. However, all of the Justices on his list are as close as possible to Justice Scalia. On the other hand, Mrs. Clinton will have the same opportunity to appoint perhaps five Justices to the Supreme Court. It's unbearable to think this could happen. Now to come to the real problem. Over 50% of Catholics who attend Mass frequently will vote for Her. There is no question she is extremely pro-abortion. Her record over her entire political life shows it.

Agree with Anonymous above.
Also Dwight Longenecker is an essayist who doesn't seem to care much for research. He states that Trump is an unrepentant regarding his divorces but even the Huffington Post cited Trump in their 2012 essay "Is Lust Ever Worth Breaking Up A Marriage?"

"According to the New York Post, Maples’ former publicist, Chuck Jones, recounted a conversation he had with Trump before his divorce from Ivana was final. “I think it was lust ... and had I the opportunity to do it over, I would have stayed with my family,” Trump reportedly told Jones."

One of the best profiles of Trump is fro the Boston Globe. If you are familiar with the 1970s in the United States, Trump was clearly not a Preppy. Not mentioned in the piece is the profound influence of the "Power of Positive Thinking" of American minister Norman Vincent Peale on Trump and Trump's parents.

Secty Clinton does in fact have and practice religious values and virtues. An objective reading of the Democratic platform will reveal aspects which are in sync with Pope Francis and Gospel values. Both the US and the UK are struggling with how to handle immigrants. The Gospel is very clear on this issue and the Democratic platform speaks of these values. The Republicans with Trump in the lead are preaching a gospel of hate.

It's very odd. The election is essentially about religious issues. An atheist, left wing elite which has captured the universities, Hollywood, most of the tech industry, and the big financial institutions. Versus a fairly militant Protestant, fundamentalist middle class core with strength in second tier business, the military, and lots of small formal institutions. With the exception of the libertarian vs big government debate, almost everything is seen in those terms - education, abortion, the supreme court, foreign policy, gay marriage, even guns and interest rate policy.
But both the candidates have essentially nothing to say on religion. Neither are atheists, and whilst it's unfair to comment on another person's internal spiritual state (we don't know what struggles Mrs Clinton may have had with her conscience over her marital difficulties, for example) neither have shown any public evidence of taking Christianity at all seriously.
