All of us...

...that is, the entire population of the world, could fit comfortably into the state of Texas, with everyone having a good-sized house and bit of land.

Please tell this to the ghastly and omnipresent fanatics who keep telling us there are too many people. Britain is dying. Young people are being endlessly told that they should not have children. There is a feeling of pointlessness and gloom and it's time we got real and started to tell the truth.

Get the facts here and pass then on. Quickly.I am sick and tired of living in what John Paul the Great rightly described as a "culture of death".

I have heard it stated many times over the past few years that Europeans aren't replacing themselves. Here in the states we're moving in the same direction. Sadly, it is the death of faith and reason more than the demise of Britain, or the United States for that matter that we should mourn. Frankly I'm with furrowed brow worried about the future and what it portends. The wildly progressive liberals in the states have laid seige to our schools and every other institution where they can indulge in their insidious brand of social re-engineering. Despite the awful dirge I'm singing now, shouts of joy, Hosanna to the King will resound loudly as Christ returns victoriously, just as He promised, to claim His own. Is that day too far off?

Another way of putting it is that the world's entire population could stand shoulder-to-shoulder, front-to-back, within the 30-something boroughs that make up Greater London. Hard to understand how this pinhead sized mass (when compared to the size of the world) has somehow filled the world to a dangerous capacity.

Thanks, that's a great link. My DD had a whole term on "Population - can the Earth cope?" at a leading Catholic secondary school with a highly biased presentation that fed the over-population myth.
