Monday Nov 26th

If anyone wants to write a letter to explain why it would be very wong to appoint Mrs Cherie Blair as a member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, they should send a comment to this blog TODAY and I will get back to them. BUT YOU MUST SEND ME YOUR FULL EMAIL ADDRESS OR I CANNOT REPLY TO YOU.

This matter is not trivial. Of course I know that Mrs B. cannot do much at the Academy and I daresay it already has members who are totally opposed to the teaching of the Church. But that is not the point. The point is that her status as an Academy member will be the best gift that Planned Parenthood has been given since she launched their condoms-for-teenagers campaign from the Prime Minister's official home at 10 Downing Street, the best boost for the Family Planning Association - Britain's premier group campaigning for abortion - since she visited their stand at the Labour Party conference , cut their celebration cake and posed for pictures brandishing a condom.

The Blairs will be leaving Downing Street soon. They are already planning their next careers. Mrs B. is an obvious successor to those who launched "Catholics for a Free Choice"....their campaign has run into the ground in recent years and needs a boost. If you want to help prevent this, contact me now.

I am delighted to have discovered this blog! Mrs. Bogle I have admired your work for years!

I don't know if I can do anything about Cherie Blair, not being a British subject, but I wish you all the best in dealing with her. Of course, we are dealing with plenty of her sort over here on the other side of the pond!

I to am not a British subject and so can't do much but I have to ask who nominated this woman for the pontifical Academy of Social Sciences?

Greentings Mrs. Bogle. I want to thank you for writing that wonderful book, "A Heart For Europe". You might be interested to know that, after Sunday Mass at St. Stephen the First Martyr in California, our choirmaster told me of a delightful image of heaven you recently shared with him. Something about tea time with Our Lady ... you ought to write that down somewhere. :-)

Joanna, I think so much of your work, I'd write to whomever but I live in the USA. Would that count?
Also, I waited in vain for the recipe for your Christmas pudding on EWTN last Sunday. How can i get it???

Tea with Our Lady! What a beautiful thought! That is truly what we have to look forward to in heaven! And even here, she can be with us, in our sorrows and happy times!

Let us send our Lady after Cherie Blair! She will straighten her out!

Yes, it is a beautiful thought. And Mrs. Vidal, I am sorry to say that I have misplaced your book Trianon, given to me by a mutual friend. Your comments here remind me that I need to pick up another copy. I never finished it (for shame!) and would like my daughter to read it.

The destiny of the blessed is to behold for ever the vision of God in eternity, not to have cosy tea parties with Our Lady. In any case she would probably prefer a drink, cf Cana in Galilee. Heaven is something we cannot possibly imagine, not a replication of life on earth. 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard what God has prepared for those who love him' said St Paul.

Mr. Culbreath, if you need a copy of either book, just come to my website, www.emvidal.com. I am dying to know who the mutual friend is! Thank you for you kind words. Christian charity truly foreshadows the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Cheers! (raising my tea cup)

I'm sorry I didn't hear about this sooner. I'm absolutely appalled at the idea of Cherie Blair being appointed to the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences. I wouldn't appoint her to the Pontifical Academy of Waste Disposal, if there was one!
Apart from distributing fruit flavoured condoms to teenagers, so that they can engage in 'safe' oral sex, she believes in, and participates in, all manner of New Age beliefs and practices which are incompatible with the Catholic faith she professes, and supports a Government responsible for tax-payer funding of embryonic stem-cell research, and thousands of tax-payer funded abortions each year.
