YOU COULDN'T MAKE IT UP

I thought this was a spoof at first. A lady Anglican-bishopess in America has written to an African Anglican bishop telling him not to come for an ordination to America because this would "violate the ancient customs of the church" and would "display to the world division and disunity that are not mind of the mind of Christ".

Er...creating priestesses didn't do that?

NEVER MIND,HERE'S SOME MORE...

A group called Roman Catholic Womenpriests Movement in Canada has announced it has "ordained" three ladies as priests. Performing the ceremony was a lady called Patricia Fresen, who says she was made a Catholic bishop in 2005.

As much in favor of women getting education and fulfilling their full potential in the areas they are lead into. I am rather hesitant in the area of women taking over in the church. Frankly I have seen nothing good come from it. It seems they are very liberal in their views, and want to usher in Homosexual rights etc.
I even heard of a group that wanted any masculine words such as "he" "his" removed totally from the bile and replaced with neutral words so as not to offend and women who may have been hurt by men! This is stupidity gone wild!

I rather liked the Freudian slip in Anonymous' post, above. If these "wimmin" had more Bible and less bile about them perhaps things would be better.

And which successor of the Apostles does she think 'made' her a bishop, I wonder?

Dear lordlessness below...
You ARE a "Freudian Slip"
I wouldn't want to know what you call persons of the female race.

Bad typist more like it than a slip actually.
It's not so much the gender of people as it is their views that threaten to take away from, rather than add to the church, and the attitudes that shall shape it for coming generations. Troubling!
I do agree with more bible and less "bile"...good one.
