Great job last night on EWTN Live, Joanna! You don't appear nervous at all...if you are or not, I don't know. It was appalling to hear about the persecution of the Catholic Church in Britain but it seems that way all over the world now too. Blessed be God in all his designs.
It's great to keep one's sense of humour!i'm reading a lot about Mother Angelica at the moment..very inspiring...
What's all this nonsense about the Catholic Church in Britain being persecuted? Attacked and criticized maybe, as it has long been and long will be, but not persecuted. Some recent legislation compromises Catholic moral positions, but that is not persecution. Like the rest of the world, the UK is living in a post-Christian age and religion is badly affected by it. But to call this persecution is typical of the irresponsible and shallow statements that come easily from you.
How is Mother Angelica, she had a serious stroke three or four years ago, we all prayed for her recovery. How is she now? Is the picture of her taken recently, or it is some old shot?
Joanna your blog. You are cheerful and uplifting and honestly report on the state of the Faith in our country. Keep doing so please.
Mother Angelica is simply wonderful. Like a British tabloid, she "tells it, like wot it is"! I hope that she is well. It was lovely to see her with the sisters for the Solemn High Mass of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. (Gosh, what a mouthful!). Anyway, glad you made it home safely.
